Start a Business in Utah

Expert Introvert Entrepreneurs

You may be thinking that to start a business you need to be outgoing and enjoy talking to people; while this could be helpful in many aspects, it is not necessary to be an extrovert to start a business. Lisa and I are both incredibly introverted, which might not be the most ideal partnership for a business but we make it work.

Here are 5 reasons why you don’t need to be an extrovert to start your business:

  1. Brainstorming processes stay focused

Extroverts tend to need other people’s energy and input in the brainstorming process… if you have ever been forced to do a group project you know productivity is very limited in this setting. Introverts are able to brainstorm and work alone, therefore increasing productivity.

  1. Business meetings stay on topic

Introverts want to talk and draw attention to themselves as little as possible. This means getting what they have to say and nothing more out as quickly as possible.

  1. It will be easier for you to hire someone to do your secretarial duties

Even speaking on the phone has always been overwhelming for me. Outsourcing many of these responsibilities will free up time for you to do more important things.

  1. There is an extra incentive for starting an online business

Internet businesses are becoming more and more popular. Introverts have the extra incentive of avoiding contact with clients to start an online business. Online businesses also tend to have lower startup costs.

  1. You will learn how to put yourself out there along the way

I never liked having attention put on me. This made marketing difficult, but through growing my social media following and increasing my post frequency I have learned to be okay with a little additional attention.
